Martha’s Vineyard Shipyard is open year-round in Vineyard Haven and seasonally in Edgartown. We are a full service boatyard offering a range of services on all sail and power boats, under 20 tons.

We have great expertise in the marine industry and offer clients a unique blend of talented staff and services to meet all your boating needs.

All of our routine commissioning and decommissioning labor charges are based on flat rates. This allows our customers to better estimate your likely "round trip" annual costs, or estimates are available upon request.

Hauling: Both sail & power boats of up to 50ft in length or 20 tons.

Storage: Available both inside & outside at our offsite facility. We also offer an over the road transportation service, with the ability to move any boat on one of our 2 hydraulic trailers. This offers our customers the unique ability to store/work on their boats at home over the winter.

Engine: We work on all diesel, gas, and outboard motors. Authorized dealer: Yamaha outboards, OMC outboards, and Yanmar diesel engines.

Plumbing: All manual and pressurized systems.

Electrical: Diagnose system, and we will work with manufacturers to test/repair defective units.

Rigging: We have the most experienced rigging staff on the island and can service sailboats of all sizes; fix most electrical issues, furling systems, and all standing/running rigging issues, including wire swaging and wire-to-rope splicing.

Sails: Buy new, repair an old one, or store your existing sail with us over the winter.

Fiberglass: A full service glass repair shop, and Awl-grip painting (topsides, deck, cabins, or just touch up).

Transport: Local Road Transport.

Varnish: Offer complete varnish and painting services.

Mooring: Sales, maintenance and inspections (we cover the whole island).

Custom Woodwork: Cabinetry work, deck repairs, etc.

Custom Lettering: Boat name, hail port or any other boat lettering need.

Towing/Delivery: We offer a full range of towing capabilities, and can deliver your boat any where on the island.
